Additional history that happened since the last application (their history at the school before they left, what happened and caused them to return): Since becoming a teacher, not much had changed for her at the school. She taught classes, reveled in giving her students a hard time, showed blatant favoritism, and still wasn't the worst teacher Smash Academy had ever had. When one of her teammates left the school the summer after she became a teacher, she took the opportunity to travel back to Kanto with him, having never actually seen Pallet Town or Viridian City. Nyx only meant to stay for a short while, maybe just for the summer, but she found it surprisingly easy to get caught up in life back in Kanto. So she stuck around, helping in the gym or with Professor Oak when she was needed, and traveling, getting to know more of Kanto when she wasn't. The school was, of course, still in her mind, but reasons kept coming up not to finish packing her bags and come running back.
Some time before leaving the Academy, Nyx had spent a week as if she'd never died, and once the week was over, had kept all the associated memories. Unfortunately, it meshed badly with the memories of her time spent as a ghost, and she was left something of a mess. While still at school, there was always something going on, something else to focus on, so she always pushed the matter back. When she was away from the chaos at school, though, she actually did have the time to think things through, figure them out and take the measures needed to sort herself out. She still doesn't have it perfect, these things take more time than she's had, but she finally thinks she's ready to try and come back.
Personality Changes (ie, some characters grow are are different based on where they are taken from. Please write down any changes in personality compared to the first app): The time spent in Kanto has mellowed her out somewhat, but considering Nyx, this may not say as much. It's a fairly subtle change, and unless someone knows her very well, may not even be too visible of one. She's somewhat less hot-headed, less quick to anger and much less likely to start a fight just out of anger. That isn't to say she doesn't still enjoy fighting, she'll still take most excuses to spar. It also is not to say that she's less likely to make someone else want to throw a punch at her, she has far too much fun with her usual caustic way of dealing with others to stop.
Nyx has never been particularly stupid, but the amount of time she's spent recently with just her thoughts has lead her to take more time to think things through in general. Her first priority is and always has been her own twisted sense of humor, so it's doubtful that this will lead to much outward change, aside from maybe the frequency at which she gets caught. To those close to her, though, she may seem to be a bit more open. The thoughts she had before leaving, that she couldn't burden a team with enough of its own problems with her own "small" issues, aren't something that is likely to come up again. She knew then, but is acknowledging now, that, though she did deal with her own problems with only minimal help this time, she doesn't have to.

Yo, guess who's back?
[Nyx, that is hardly a question when people can see you right there. Literally right there, the camera is on. Still, she leans back in her seat, grinning.]
I know, I know, calm down, I know it's exciting. Try not to get yourselves too worked up, alright? I took a nice long vacation, but I know you guys can't keep holdin' yourselves together without me, so here I am, takin' pity on all you poor jackasses and gracin' you with my presence again. I will accept thanks in the form of cash, feel free to drop it by my office any time that's convenient for you.
[She snickers at this herself, like she knows it's bullshit.]
Anyone who don't recognize me, and you can count yourself all kinds of unlucky, name's Nyx. I'm gonna be teachin' Combat Strategy. If you can't figure out what that means on your own, don't bother showin', 'cause I don't know if I can help you. Classes meet in the stadium, and they're gonna be startin' whenever the hell I want 'em to.

She didn't stick around her dorm for long after arriving. Unpacking could happen another time, so long as there was a place for her to sleep through the next day, she didn't quite care about her belongings. Just long enough to drop off the things she'd brought herself, and then she was out, wandering the school. It was late enough she didn't anticipate running into anyone just yet, which suited her just fine. All Nyx wanted to do for now was get herself reacquainted, remind herself where anything of interest was, or may have been added since her departure last summer.
Nyx had attended the school for years, though, and it would take more than a few months away to make her forget the layout, or any of the places she was particularly fond of. But the night was still early, and there was no way she was just going to waste her first night back on anything boring like unpacking, or even just floating through the school. No, if she was going to be coming back, she had to do it right. She hadn't told anyone she was coming back, and with the exception of the Hands, she didn't think anyone knew. It was late, and any student that would still be awake was likely not the type that would put up much of a fuss about a few harmless pranks here or there. The ghost slipped through the nearest wall and into a classroom, cackling.
The next morning, just before the sun rose, she made her way back to her own room. It wouldn't be too long before the inhabitants of the school would begin to wake up and see the results of her efforts. She couldn't wait.
